I put the xubuntu axis (from the ubuntu family) on a new laptop with an NVIDIA GeForce 930M video card (for a laptop), after which one very unpleasant incident occurred.
Actually, what's the problem - everything flies without firewood on NVIDIA, but they are needed, for example, for games (sometimes you want to drive), such as Terraria. I put firewood, I noticed that the system itself began to freeze. Terraria started up, everything is ok, only the screen is updated in "stripes" (and not only in the game, but in general everywhere - when dragging the window, in YouTube, everywhere, everywhere), it's very disappointing. And besides games, there are necessary applications that will not start without firewood for Nvidia.
