No sound on ACER Extensa 5635ZG Elementary OS?
Good day.
There is an ACER Extensa 5635ZG laptop without Jack input, it was somehow pulled out there.
The problem is the following. Due to the fact that the connector is pulled out, for some reason unknown to me, the sound according to the standard goes to it and, accordingly, there is no sound. On Windows 7, this problem was solved by installing additional AC`97 drivers. I don’t remember the details, because this was a couple of years ago, but a new port appeared in the sound / playback window, which was disabled by default. The solution to the problem is to turn it on after installing the firewood and set it by default. Is there sound!
Sorry for the backstory, now to the problem...
This laptop is currently running Freya's Elementary OS (Just like my cat's name). The problem is the same, there is no sound for the above reason. I thought the solution was elementary. Put PluseAudio + pavucontrol selected the device I needed and switched the port from "Analog headphones (plugged in)" to "Speakers (unaviable)"
Accordingly, there is no sound, as it is written in brackets - the port is not available. I rummaged through a bunch of forums, picked configs, but did nothing with it. For the first time I'm picking the sound on a bubunt ..... Please save my ears from silence ^_^
