No drivers for linux printer?

There is an MF3240 printer, drivers for it exist only for windows, but I really want to switch to linux.
Do you have any ideas? print via virtual machine?

1. First, a thorough search for Linux drivers for printers that don't seem to have one has always led (me) to finding a driver... for different models.
2. USB printer? Look for (lsusb, VID:DID, ...) a model that is close in functionality and replace it with its driver.
3. There is a way (in extreme cases) to use Windows drivers directly in Linux, see here: Wi-Fi whistles - but it's up to you to figure it out yourself ...
4. Here in the topic, just a few days ago, there was a question about the MF324 printer *, differing in the last number from yours ... ending with thanks to the author. Search. Have you searched the forums of various Linux distributions for your printer?
5. And who told you that your printer is not supported by Linux?
Which Linux (there are many)?

No, it's not supported:

Canon and Epson are such a mess. 99 percent of these under-printers do not work in Linux. Likewise with the new HP. I myself ran into a year and a half ago: I bought myself an HP LJ 1005, without making sure that it was 100% supported. I had to give it to my mother-in-law (she has a mastdyke on her beech), and I myself was left without a printer ☹
