Newbie project?

I'm just getting started in the fascinating world of programming. I learned the basics of Python coding, and now I decided to take on the great and mighty C ++.
I would like to learn the language during the implementation of some simple project, and not just memorize the syntax (although I know that I can’t do without it). I would be very grateful if you advise something or share stories with which you started, thanks in advance
