Network adapter not finding network?

In general, this is the situation. There is a Qualcomm Atheros AR1111 WB-EG wireless network adapter and an RBT 21156 laptop in which it is installed. Yesterday morning everything worked without problems, Wi-Fi was quietly displayed and you could connect to it. But in the evening it stopped working, ( display available networks ) while it is displayed in the device manager, you can update / remove the driver, disconnect / connect the device, but does not display any Wi-Fi. Even reinstalling Windows did not help ((Where to dig?
UPD: OS Windows 8 Pro if anything ...

All this is strange, but today the network adapter began to detect Wi-Fi networks and can connect to them)))

Dig in the direction of a non-Microsoft network manager. Or install a third-party, or nail it. I don't know what you have installed.

Most likely died. Problems with the network manager are rare - connect a known working adapter - if there are, then the problem is in the adapter.
