NetBeans, tabs and spaces?

Tools->Settings->Editor->Formatting "Expand tabs to spaces" checkbox is unchecked. After that, regular tabs were introduced, not spaces. Turned off, turned on - there is no checkmark, but spaces are entered.
How to fix?

in the new file too? It's just that there might be an auto-detector. you open the file, it considers that there are more tabs or spaces in it and switches the subvolume for the file according to. mode.
