Need advice on choosing an Arduino and its modules

There is a task - to monitor the temperature of the room and send statistics via SMS (for example, once every 12 hours).
There is no Internet at the "object" and is not expected.
I know that for this I need a controller, a GSM module and a temperature sensor.
Can you advise the correct model of the controller, GSM module and sensor, so as not to shoot sparrows from a cannon? And then these Arduino as many as 15 models were stamped - it's hard to make a choice.
Thanks in advance!

I advise you to take CraftDuino from robocraft.ru.
Digital temperature sensor (with an article on how to connect) ,
analog temperature sensor (also with an article) .

I advise you not to mess with arduino, but either buy it ready-made, or assemble it based on some ARM microcontroller. It comes out much cheaper.
Arduino is good only in one case - at the stage of modeling and experiments (because you can quickly “run in” one or another algorithm and circuit nodes), and as a final product, using Arduino is unreasonably expensive.
