Tip: do not try to find up-to-date information in books. Android is a constantly and very rapidly developing platform, techniques and concepts change very quickly in it. You can take the book of the 2015 edition, but it turns out that it went to print in 2014, and its author wrote in general in 2012-2013. And even in a year, a lot can change. Android Studio 1.0 was released in December 2014, do you think the author can study everything in half a year, describe it, submit it to the publisher and ensure that the information is up to date?
Bonuses and maximum optimization, this is something that one (or even several) books cannot achieve. You need to constantly read developer blogs and similar English-language resources in order to collect information bit by bit. No place has everything at once. The book can only give the most general idea, but for him you can take almost any.

According to your requirements The Busy Coder's Guide to Android Development
From myself I will add Android Programming: The Big Nerd Ranch Guide . Great book, 2nd edition just came out. I read the first one, I liked it very much.
