Basic English, fundamentals of linear algebra. Great course for beginners:

1. Mathematics. Basically linear algebra, as already said. But if you want to start from the basics, then the theory of probability with statistics will not be superfluous
2. Basics of Python and / or R
3. Basics of the database. Without it, nowhere. Machine learning is 70-80% about data processing and only 20% about algorithms
4. Fundamentals of the subject area in which you want to apply ML
