NAT VS BRIDGE (network bridge) VMWare Kali Linux?

What is the difference between NAT and BRIDGE?
And why in both cases in ifconfig
ip 192.168.124.x , although the main ip is distributed within 192.168.0.x?

In the case of NAT, it is necessary to translate (substitute) network addresses. This is usually done to hide "gray" (private) addresses and release them to the global network.
Bridging, on the other hand, is a simple forwarding of packets between interfaces with different network addresses, without their translation.
If you do not need to access the Internet from these addresses, you can simply packet-forward between routable interfaces.
