Nanotechnologies: Is it worth writing popular science articles on a “near-IT” topic?
Good evening, Khabrogorod.
Reading the IBM article reminded me that I am an engineer-physicist by training and have interesting knowledge in the field of nanotechnology (heterostructures, the creation and control process).
Does Habr need articles about modern methods of research and creation of microcircuits of crystals? I promise to write in detail, but simply enough for even artists and programmers to understand =)
Actually, the question is this:
I have been reading Habr for a long time, but I still have little understanding of the topics of certain hubs . Often the question of where to place this or that article so that the community appreciates it takes tens of minutes. Where is the best place to put the following topics:
1. Review article: why do we need perfect chips for microcircuits and the main methods for obtaining them.
2. Engineering challenge: how to achieve ultra-high vacuum, the evolution of vacuum pumps.
3. Molecular beam epitaxy: how to grow layers (!) of films one atom thick?
etc.
ps I understand that this is not directly related to IT, on the other hand, space topics beloved by Habr also have no direct connection with IT. Or has?

It would be very interesting to read the listed articles, so I look forward to it :)
I also think that it is necessary and it is interesting. Recently, Swiss scientists have done something that is essentially stupid at first glance so4net.com/index.php/ru/blog/67-cubli
habrahabr.ru/post/206980
And this is very interesting and somewhere useful, because. Therefore articles about nanotechnologies are bread for brains.
