Moving the project team to Thailand - what are the pros / cons?

Recently, topics and vacancies related to the transfer of software development to Thailand have begun to appear more and more often. I would like to understand what are the advantages of such a solution. What are the benefits compared to maintaining a project team in Russia.
One is obvious - in the absence of acquaintances, the team interacts more actively inside. What else?

The benefit is this: the frenzied motivation of people. Starting with the fact that people live in shocking Asia, in comfort and prosperity (a cool house for the whole team, cool food, personal transport for everyone), ending with the ease and cheapness of corporate entertainment. Even if it's all done at the expense of people.

If officially it may take time, and so the taxes here are sparing, very.
From the pluses I see that it is cheaper to live here, fruits, housing, food. Always warm. Housing is cheaper. Many interesting people from other countries can be found, for example, to participate in the project.
Of the minuses, that if by the sea it will relax a little at first. And the second is that if the office works illegally, some thread of the left Thai can knock on the authorities, this is strict here.

I think that there is no point in bothering with official papers. You just need to go there and live, extending your tourist visa.
Who cares what you do there at the computers in the common house? Nobody will knock on you. No need to invent difficulties that will never happen.

In my opinion, it’s just a fashionable trend, and not only in the field of IT. There are too many legal delays if you hire non-Thais and if you try to do everything legally. If you look at the same articles and do some more digging on this topic on the Internet, this impression is created. And the profitability (again, subjectively) from this venture is lower than if it happens in Russia.
I don't see any advantages. Unless you try to conquer the domestic market with something.
I can advise you to contact the addictedtothai habrauser, he can tell you much more.
Я вот к Чехии присматриваюсь, но там что-тос налогами не весело, но в остальном весьма интересно.

I was in Thailand, I liked the mood is completely different, not like here - everyone is somehow embittered, there, on the contrary, it pierced me for creativity, at the beginning the first week, yes, it will probably relax completely, everything is new, then everything will be fine, work in those conditions I would like.
Housing is cheap, food is cheap. immediately there were topics that with a flight with renting a house, with food from the Internet, etc. came out cheaper than in our capitals.
at the same time + a lot of new sensations of life experience, communication with foreigners. well, maybe there is a greater motivation to work there than here in a gray, random office.
I'm looking at options to go there for half a year to work remotely.

The main plus of Thailand is a normal life, you don’t need a lot of money to live in a good country, it’s safe, tasty and cheap food in cafes, there are a lot of women, the ocean, a lot of interesting places, it’s warm and you can go for a walk at least at five in the morning, here the Internet and cellular communications are well developed, you can live here without a visa or with a visa.
Well, a lot more can be learned from questions about Thailand in my blog
