If you have a screen resolution of 1680x1050, then do not pay attention to the picture.
The standard screen for 15" firmware is 1440x900, glossy. As an option, you can put 1680x1050 glossy or matte.

Most likely just a mistake.

I decided to check for myself, and noticed a strange thing. In your picture, a 13 "poppy is drawn, although in reality it is 15". I have 13", and the fifteenth is drawn.image

I heard that new Retina laptops work with a resolution of 1920 x 1080, but with this resolution it’s only possible to play games, it’s really impossible to work, your eyes get very tired, everything is very small! and for optimal performance include 1440x900

Because I compared two images. On the left is a picture of the author's computer with a 15 inch diagonal, on the right is mine - 13 inch. Do you agree that the pictures are different computers? My friend with a 15 inch poppy has the same computer picture as the author and me.

Where did you buy your macbook? Try Hardware Test to do and look at the characteristics there.
