Modern bun-platformer (toy) wanted?

There was such a toy for DOS - "Bumpy's Arcade Fantasy"
Is there something similar, but in a modern version, preferably OpenSource? Reasonable googling did not bring any results, which is strange - the toy is very simple, it is done "once".
Therefore, I appeal to Habr: has anyone seen such a miracle? Or maybe someone knows a simple 2D engine or a toy where you could replace / add pictures and levels?
