Mobility in absolute, is it possible?

Good morning!
From your point of view, how justified is the complete rejection of a stationary computer and a complete transition to a mobile platform in the form of a laptop?
We store data on ordinary hard drives connected via a docking station for them. Part of the data in the cloud for example. Absolutely all daily work takes place on a laptop: surfing the web, mail, watching videos, editing photos and videos, working with a virtual machine (maybe more than one) and everything else.
Exceptions: When working in the office, if you wish, use a computer provided by your employer.

In addition to the above question, I would like to hear answers about reliability and perhaps your experience with this transition.

I use an 11-inch laptop with a touchscreen and a 2048x1400 screen (I don’t remember exactly) and 64 gigabytes of SSD + 4 RAM, it runs Windows, I rented a remote server on Linux, I would never refuse such mobility, only if I work in an office, you can already and a computer with two monitors, but out of habit, I still remotely do all my studies and tests on the server

Now stationary computers for the majority only create problems due to the synchronization of several devices.
If you don’t play games at maximum speeds (laptops at medium-high are now calmly pulling games) or don’t have rare professions (which require powerful video cards), then you don’t need a stationary one.

Pluses of system engineers (for firms / enterprises / organizations, since the question clearly says not about home use):
Pros of laptops in the same conditions:
Add points to taste, summarize, make a choice.

Indeed, to each his own. If you want a desktop, then why not take it. If you want a laptop, then why not use it. Without trying, nothing can be determined.
