Misunderstandings with email

Hey! I describe the problem.

Once upon a time there was a box on Rambler, which I indicated at various registrations, etc. Then I switched to Yandex mail and set up the collection of mail from the previous mailbox (or forwarding, I don’t remember exactly). Transferred registrations to a new box, and deleted the old box on the Rambler website. BUT! Letters received by Rambler's mail still end up in a box on Yandex. How can this be?

As they say, no one deletes anything from themselves, the rambler said that they deleted it, but in fact they didn’t delete it.

And you can go to the old box in rambler?

As far as I remember, for all sane postal services, the address previously used by someone is no longer allowed for registration, to protect users, either for some long period, or forever
