Midnight Commader - Highlighted symbols for quick access on buttons and menu items?

Far Manager for Windows has the following feature: if you press alt+<highlighted symbol>, you will quickly access a menu item, button, etc. In the screenshot below, if you press alt+f, the checkbox will be selected fulllog . ibutFTVtwxOaTl.png
Midnight Commander also has the same highlighted symbols: iomW6byzmHkpb.png
I would be grateful if someone could tell me how to use them.

This “fast access to the menu” works like this:
1. Press F9 (or <Esc> -9>
2. Press those letters that are highlighted, without any modifiers. We want to get to the “Left” menu - press “L”, we want to make there "FT_P_ Link" - press "P".
And here I advise you to study the hot keys of the editor itself. Meta is <Esc> in most cases. For example, <Esc> -h is the history of the last commands in any dialog (which is on the command line , that when connecting via ftp, that when copying files).

I'm aware that the standard keyboard shortcuts work. It is the shortcuts in the menus and dialogs that do not work.
