Microcontroller device for diagnostics of game consoles. What characteristics can be removed?

Hello! The essence of the question is as follows: for my graduation project, I need to develop a microcontroller device for diagnosing game consoles, for example Sony PlayStation (I plan to use Arduino). This device should, through sensors, or directly take some 4 characteristics from the game console, which can later be analyzed and a conclusion drawn. My trouble is that I can’t think of what significant characteristics can be removed, due to a poor understanding of the circuitry of game consoles. Only 1 characteristic is on my mind - with a temperature sensor to measure the actual temperature of the processor or video processor. Need more ideas. Thank you.

Presence of supply voltages
Presence of clock pulses
Presence of sync pulses on the video output (not the fact that applicable)
Absence of a reset signal on the processor

In general, it is customary to choose a topic that you know well.
Start by finding the wiring diagram. Any microprocessor device must have a diagnostic connector, perhaps it is also available on set-top boxes. Find information on the interface of this connector on the Internet, develop tests, etc.
In fact, the topic is terribly idiotic, it’s better to change it to a more normal one

The idea with the temperature is not reasonable, the processor can do anything and get warm at the same time. For good, you would have a diagram of the set-top box itself, on the diagram you will find points to which you can connect and carry out diagnostics. Again, you need to know the state of the points during normal operation, sometimes the diagrams indicate the frequency or power at some points. Based on this data, you can diagnose some malfunctions.
