Is it possible to make a messenger on ajax + php, or is it better to use a bunch of nodeJS + reactJS (if possible, tell me articles or videos where it is at least somehow explained how to do this safely and correctly)

You can replace Ajax with websocket, so you won't need to constantly send requests to the server.
