Menu layout, your implementation options

Greetings, actually the question is:
how would you implement such a menu , see the picture ?
Conditions:
the background under the menu is arbitrary
, the menu itself stretches in width, the number of items is arbitrary.

My method seemed crooked to me, I couldn’t find something similar, share your ideas :)

You can play with the transformations a bit. If you wish, you can even degrade well to IE7 :)
