Maybe the mouse does not work due to grounding?
As long as I touch the system unit, the mouse works! But as soon as I remove my hand from the case, the mouse stops working! What can be wrong?

Let me guess - the mouse is not old, no more than a year and a half?
Throw it out and buy a new one.
The PS mouse is connected to the USB front panel, and the connector housing is not connected to ground. Either the mouse wire does not have a screen, or .... yes, they just sell any G.
Perhaps the case is on the USB port.
Is the mouse wire plugged into the case's USB port? Or from the back, directly to the motherboard?
