MATE Sensors Applet error - how to solve?

When the system boots, an error message occurs with the sensor update.

temp1 error retrieving sensor value
mate-sensors-applet is needed in order to put the temperature readings of the processor or from any other sensors that are in the system and detected on the panel.

Updating packages through the Software Store didn't help.

#emerge -av mate mate-sensors-applet lightdm

Is it worth it or how can I update / install it differently?
