Markdown Editor or WYSIWYG?

Hello colleagues.

What is the difference between Markdown Editor and WYSIWYG? Which one to choose? I just need to have a window where the user can enter text (well, with formatting, of course, another picture could be added, well, as usual) to create a new article.

I'm thinking of just taking VueJS ready on the Internet (for example, on vuejsexamples.com), tweaking and pasting it to me.

However, I do not quite understand where this data is stored? Organize it as a separate file? Or in the form of a table in the database.

Any editor receives a line and displays it
This can be ready-made html json markdown
On the server side you save this line in the database
I would recommend visual markdown editors it is more for programmers

Behind the apparent simplicity of text editors, everything is rather complicated with them. If you need a clear correspondence to some TK. And often, the simplest case will be writing from scratch what you need.
If you "just need" - try any, it's not difficult to connect and remove them. But I would prepare for the fact that if you find fault (here there is not enough such functionality, but there are too many buttons, and it is difficult to disable them) - you will have to write your own.
