Mail server (hardware) and domain from different providers, how to set up MX, A, PTR records?
Good afternoon. Happy Defender of the Fatherland!
Given:
1. Domain site.msk.ru is registered on reg.ru.
2. Bought a server on activecloud.ru (server IP 123.45.67.89).
3. Iredmail will be installed and configured on the mail.site.msk.ru server using the site.msk.ru domain.
4. Before setting up and installing iredmail, you must correctly configure A, MX, PTR records.
5. Activecloud technical support advised to set up ns records on reg.ru to avoid confusion.
6. In the personal account reg.ru there were entries:
- A mail 123.45.67.89
- MX @ mail.site.msk.ru.
Now it is not clear what to do next. I have my own website and hosting on reg.ru, so in this case, everything to the primitive is simply configured. I understand that perhaps in this case it would have been better to do the same, but due to certain circumstances, the domain was purchased separately from the server.
Thanks in advance.

Alternatively, transfer dns back to reg ru or to another service, then set up all iredmail records.
If you started having questions at the initial setup stage, then what will happen during operation? Spam that will be sent to you, your mail, which counterparties will begin to consider SPAM, ...
Wouldn't it be easier to place your mail with MAIL.RU, Yandex, ZhMail, etc. paid or free?
I had experience with my "iron" mail server, and with corporate mail on a third-party mail resource - I prefer to give mail to "uncle" and not have a headache with it.
