Magic with windows explorer, or why files are not visible when uploading to the site?
Hello.
-
I became interested. Has anyone encountered such a situation.
Background:
For the third or fourth time I buy a laptop in which such magic happens. I would like this story to be taken seriously, because in reality there is nothing funny. It happens that you copy pictures for yourself or download pictures from the Internet, rename them there, process them in Photoshop or Paint, save them on your computer in jpg or png format, and you don’t suspect that when it comes to uploading these pictures to another site, the explorer simply does not see them, although when you look at the files not through the "select file - the file is not selected" button, there are files on your laptops! They are opened, edited, viewed and read. I already thought that some kind of protection is on the image, took a screenshot, cut off the excess, saved it in the usual jpg picture format
I go to my site, click "select file", a window opens marked "all formats", but the file is not there !! Although I open at the same moment a folder with the same directory, and lo and behold, there are files in the explorer!
QUESTION: How will this phenomenon win, is a shaman with a tambourine needed (just kidding), and how can this be fixed?

I figured out what's the matter, who are interested, read.
There are many ways to save files to your computer, but some methods have a very adverse effect on File Explorer's memory. Someone right-clicks on a file, searches the drop-down list for "save image as...", and clicks "save". Someone uses the combination Ctrl + S or Ctrl + Shift + S , and someone, like me))) drags the picture with the cursor directly into the folder. And it stays there. BUT, is not always saved as a file, the fact is that shortcuts are the basis for displaying in windows explorer, even if there is a shortcut, it is not a fact that there is a file that needs to be read or edited. When typing commands, selecting from the drop-down list, the memorization system works NORMALLY. Apparently, the crooked programmers of MicroSoft did not really take care of the drag function, which, for example, in php works like AJAX . But the OS is written in C # and obviously there tricks with drag and drop and saving are lame.
To prevent such magic from happening as I did, dragging files into the explorer is not recommended, as sometimes this leads to shortcuts failing, and it will seem to you that you have saved the file. In case of an error, the desktop.ini file usually comes out .You won't see it, but it will be created. It can be seen through an FTP client , or if you configure Explorer to show hidden folders and files. This is useful for those who use git to make sure the .git folder is there. So, if you later need the file for uploading to the Internet, save it by clicking the right mouse button. And everything will work.
What to do with it and how to fix it, I do not know. For fun, I recommend learning C # and C ++, and finishing the windows code so that the drag function does not lag.
Everything. Thank you all for your attention, and success in business.
PS Ezhyg- 666 - a human number, means body temperature 36.6 in the bible it is written, I counted given the hint, so it's funny for me to read about the curse. In addition, all miracles appear from ignorance, everything can be explained, but not to everyone.
