Mageia Linux + BCM4313: WiFi problem
There is a laptop Lenovo G580 with BCM4313 on board. There is Mageia 3 , which I installed instead of stock Windows 8. The essence of the problem is that the WiFi adapter periodically "falls" so much that only the one to which the laptop was connected is visible in the list of networks, but there is no access to the network. When disconnected from the current network, the laptop stops seeing networks at all and it is treated only by rebooting. Reinstalling the drivers to the version from the official Broadcom website did not help. The wireless adapter is identified as eth1 . Need help fixing the problem.

If possible, change the wifi card. Broadcom is buggy and will be buggy.
I myself have this card, but alas, I can’t replace it, because of the whitelist in my laptop.
Specifically, there were various problems with this card - it didn’t work at all, then it clung only to part of the networks, then something else appeared. Only on some kubuntu everything worked fine (10+). But alas, I managed to kill the system (yes, yes =)) to such a state that it was easier to reinstall. Now on ubuntu 13.04 - I can't join some networks.
The prosh is buggy. Try this.
remove bcmwl-kernel-source
install firmware-b43-installer
