Low-level language for web developer?
I write in JS + jQuery + React.js + React Native.
But I want to learn a low-level language and combine business with pleasure.
So that you can write modules for Node.js, on the Android NDK (in the future) and all sorts of tasks.
Choice between C and C++.
But the question is that C is older and I often hear that C ++ is cooler than the future or that C is mandatory and will run on everything.
Please advise from your experience.

Today, from the point of view of "use", the difference is very unsteady, because often the c-code is compiled by the cpp
compiler with the "work in C mode" flag. almost any computing device, but some terribly tricky design of non-standard use of the southbridge hardware is simple and will not require compiling on everything, but rather even require a specific version of the chipset, etc.
Logically, C++ grew out of C, and in any case, almost everywhere the presentation "about C++" organically implies that the reader is quite adequate in C - the conclusion is obvious from this.
