Love2d - is it possible to package and protect the game?
I am considering working with the love2d framework, code in lua. All code and resources can be packed into one file, but it can also be unpacked back easily and simply, in connection with which the question arose - is it possible to somehow pack and protect the game more reliably? I understand that you can obfuscate the lua code itself a little, but maybe there are some special methods and tools for such packaging? I downloaded several games written in love2d - everything is in full view. This, of course, is nice to study, but somehow not too comfortable for your own developments.

No - you need to immediately choose the appropriate framework, otherwise you will spend time not on developing the game itself, but on trying to hide something that is already mountains on the Internet.
Now it is fashionable not to pack and protect the game, but on the contrary - to open the source. Then the fans help with finding bugs, and also write mods for the game. Actually, if the logic of the game is on Lua, then God himself ordered to add support for mods, and open source codes help modders a lot. That is, openness makes the game more successful and more popular (although for this it still has to have an initial minimum value of popularity).
Well, the game is protected by copyright.
