Long wait for the response of the site page?

There is an online store, created on the Opencart 3.5.1 platform, when requesting any page, the waiting time reaches 5 seconds.
Store hangs on vdsk Processor: 800 MHz Memory: 768 MB. FreeBSD, Apache.
In ISP-manager, the average CPU load rarely exceeds 5%, 130-150 MB of memory is used
. On the same vdsk, wordpress hangs, the response time is less than 70 ms.

Previously, everything was buzzing, all that was changed was the addition of goods (about 150 pieces) and text articles.

In which direction to dig to solve the problem?

The issue was resolved by installing and correctly configuring nginx!
As a result, I have a full load time of 1.58 seconds, while the response time is 500-700 ms. which is enough for my requirements at the moment.

On all pages of the brake? Look at the time of queries to the database, if they are the case, then something may be wrong with the indexes or with the mysql settings.

Look at webstat. At my VDS, he ate 100 percent for 15-30 minutes. Very similar symptoms. Even static reverberated with the brakes.

Check the site for encrypted code and hidden links. Often authors of add-ons build "knockers" into their code.
