Local chat, how to implement via pidgin?
I was looking for an answer to my question, I did not find the information I needed. So, we have an office of 15 people, each has his own working PC and each PC is connected to a common local area network. There was a need to implement a local chat between workplaces with the ability to transfer .doc files and other nonsense. As expected, we asked a question to Google and we were given an old top chat, including mychat, comfort and other nonsense. These solutions do not suit us because of the inedibility of the interface, we are looking for simplicity. It is also impossible to implement a chat by installing instant messengers with Internet access, since the Internet often disappears with us. It is also possible to implement a chat server on one of the PCs, but it was not possible to pick up a client. Out of the corner of your ear heard about the possibility of implementing such a chat through the pidgin client, the interface is suitable for everyone, everyone likes everything, but they could not find a sensible guide for the implementation of our idea. Please help us to resolve our issue.

If you can’t install the server locally, the MyChat interface is outdated for you (although look, there was a complete redesign recently), then you can rent a MyChat server in the cloud or install your own for free (you have up to 20 online users), take some VDS with Windows cheaper and work.
