LiveJournal: export/save post and comments?

Tell me, plz, has anyone encountered the task of saving the main message and all the open comments on a LiveJournal post.

Using the client-server protocol provided by LiveJournal , you can get both the content of posts and the entire set of comments on any post. There was once an article on Habré about parsing LiveJournal comments. Or here is another very good client implementation in PHP.
