Linux Mint 19.1 - how to remember the default audio device?

A lot of sound devices are connected to the computer: a sound system on the motherboard, wireless headphones, a monitor, a TV. The problem is this: after a reboot, there is sound, but the volume slider is not associated with the device that was selected by default last time. Those. the sound is played, but pulling the slider (for example, with the hard keys of the keyboard) does not allow you to change the volume. Every time you have to go into the settings of sound devices and re-select the "default". How to win?

@Zoominger

There was such a problem, it helped to remove all sound devices except the one I needed and add the rest again.
