Linux mint 17.3 won't boot?

I downloaded linux mint 17.3 from the off site, made a bootable flash drive, downloaded, installed, wrote everything successfully. As a result, they offered to reboot the system after installation, which I did. But lo and behold, my laptop does not see this system anywhere and each time I offer to choose from which to boot, since it did not find this OS. What's the matter?
P.s.
There are operating system files in the live cd
