Linear algebra for the humanities. What textbook do you recommend?
Please advise a textbook on linear algebra for a person who last studied ordinary algebra at the high school level 13 years ago.
He entered a foreign technical university, being a self-taught programmer (that's how life happened), in order to try to get an engineering education and still become a professional. From the first year we have linear algebra and discrete mathematics, and it is not at all clear to me which way to approach this, given that there is a language barrier and a long period of "non-solving" of any mathematical problems.
When I open a regular textbook, even in Russian, I just don't understand what it's about. Maybe there is some talented teacher or author who explained such things intelligibly?
Advise literature for self-study, please.
