LightTPD (on Cygwin) as part of commercial software for Windows?

I want to use the LightTPD build on Windows under Cygwin as a frontend for the FastCGI module in a commercial product. The product, together with this entire assembly, is installed by customers on their machines using an installer. The assembly uses only the LightTPD binary (which must be pulled along by Cygwin1.dll and other joys). I do not touch the server code, my only frontend, it is native and does not use Cygwin.
The author of this LightTPD build claims it is licensed under BSD. But, nevertheless, Cygwin is GPL-licensed!
Can I use an assembly in commercial software (observing BSD of course)?

You may use the Software licensed under the GPL for any purpose, including distributing it into your distribution. But at the same time, you must provide the source codes of this software on your website, or issue it on request. Since nothing is statically linked to the GPL code, the license only covers the cygwin libraries and, accordingly, lighttpd.
In general, use boldly, nothing will happen to you.
