Learning Unity on your own or taking courses?

Greetings. Question for experts, how would you start learning Unity if:
1. You just want to learn gamedev.
2. Once upon a time you coded in C++ and opengl
3. Extensive experience in frontend/backend web development.
4. Little experience in writing android applications on kotlin.
?
Do it in your spare time, of course. I always studied everything on my own, but now there is not much time. Will the courses save time or is it easier to learn everything on your own using tutorials?

If you have a lot of experience in some area related to development, then just come up with a simple concept and start writing it + youtube videos and documentation

To " just learn gamedev ", I would not start with Unity and not even with programming.
And I would try to answer the " simple " question: what exactly makes an interesting game interesting?
