Learning to photograph?
Hello, dear habravchane!
After many years and a lot of terrible photographs taken by me, as well as the fact that for more than 25 years I have accumulated only one photo album, in anticipation of family and children, I decided to master the art of photography. Now there is one soap dish, every day I will get my Nikon 1 J3. The level of knowledge in this matter is close to zero. Advise worthwhile materials for mastering this skill from scratch, everything that I personally found I did not like. Preferably from your own experience.
With love, Nothingman!

Nikon usually has a good manual that lays out the basics of photography (definition with examples of shutter speed, aperture, DOF, ISO, WB, etc.) among other things, at least for DSLRs. For your compact, it would be best to correctly set up once and use the auto mode, because in the absence of fast aperture / iso settings, etc. other modes are of little use.
For reading, I can recommend a very suitable resource and in particular short articles with

Here's the best one I've come across. It is written about everything from the very beginning in a very clear and simple way.

Yes, I learned how to take pictures using this tutorial.
I also recommend reading sites where they post pictures and comments on them. There may be a lot of heresy, but if you filter and think, you can get a lot of interesting opinions.
There is also a good book “Photography. 100 Ways to Perfection”, M. Busel.
When you study the manual and what is affected by the main. camera settings, I advise you to read it to consolidate the material and for a visual representation of what needs to be done - there are just stupidly 100 photos with tips on how to achieve a certain result.
If you are good with English, then I can advise lynda.com. Some of the courses are on the rutracker.
I recommend reading books by Michael Freeman. A good place to start is Perfect Exposure.
These are the very basics of photography, but useful and informative ...
