Learning C# and T-SQL
Greetings habravchan! I was offered a job as a C# programmer with learning on the job, at the moment I have a very mediocre relationship with programming and my knowledge in this area is minimal (I can write some simple console application for input / output / counting something, remember what I went through studies), I have a general idea of programming in general and OOP in particular, but I am ready to develop in this area (in fact, for some time I have been thinking about starting to learn any language for web programming, I choose from PHP, Python and C #). In addition to C#, you also need to improve your knowledge of T-SQL (the level of knowledge of it is approximately the same as the level of programming, i.e. I can write simple scripts, I have a general idea of relational databases). For a trial period if I make a positive decision about the work, a task will be set that will need to be solved (unfortunately, at the moment, I did not specify the level of the task). My question is this: how much is it really possible to improve knowledge (learn) in C # and T-SQL from my level to the level of writing tolerable applications in 3 months (trial period)? I would also be very grateful for the literature that you recommend to read.

Take a job, suffer, work, plow, study! The main thing is not to be afraid. In 3 months you will see, and if not, then in the next 3 months everything will be much better ;-)
everything is possible)) But it will be necessary to plow, work hard and grind :)
To begin with, I recommend buying two books:
Learning C #
and Learning SQL . This is for 2-3 weeks maximum.
Look for videos on C# programming on rutracker, watch the basics.
Then, to expand the horizon, read Microsoft Visual Studio 2010 . A good overview of different .Net technologies, there are still errors in the source codes, but they are not difficult and will help you better understand the material.
If you know English more or less, then study more training kits:
1. Visual Studio 2010 and .NET Framework 4 Training Kit
2. SQL Server 2008 Developer Training Kit
Only you don’t need to read Richter now, the translation is bad there + such knowledge will be needed later.
Thank you all :) For the first time, the books offered by Ishli , MSDN, Google and the experience of colleagues were enough :) Then it became easier and clearer :)
