1. It will probably be easier to use sockets.
2. It is not necessary to write bootstrap blocks yourself.
Here is the integration with views https://www.drupal.org/project/views_bootstrap and pay attention to the Recommended modules there is integration with panels. Generally with everything. And if you also put the theme of the bootstrap, then there will be a complete set and a minimum number of gestures in general.
