Laforet or Lippmann?

Which of these books is best for a beginner?
Reading the second, I got to the classes and got stuck there, because. almost nothing is explained with simple examples. In Laforet, on the contrary, everything is explained. However, one book has what the other does not, and vice versa. How to be?

You can't learn from one book.
Get used to reading several at once.
We went through a topic in one, then read the same topic in another, and so on.
