Kindle 3 (Keyboard) won't turn on?

Colleagues, hello.
Suddenly, trouble happened - Kindle hung up and died.
At first it hung - did not react to the buttons, then it began to reboot periodically. Once every 5 minutes, once every 3 minutes. More and more often. And at one terrible moment, it simply did not turn on. And that's it. The screen is working, the battery is also, apparently, some kind of software or motherboard glitch. On the computer, it is also not detected.
I tried to completely put the battery in (it sat down while showing the loading screens), put it on charge for the night - the indicator turned green, but the device also does not work.
And sometimes it still turns on, the library is loaded, but it does not respond to buttons and hangs like that.
Can, who faced?
Died while reading Asimov.

I forgot to write - of course, I tried. Zero reaction. The only thing is that the LED either goes out or lights up.
And Amazon wrote, but they have one answer to everything: "Let's change." And to send it to the states and back - about $ 100. For that kind of money, you can already buy a new Paperwhite.

It really looks like a glitch in the gland.
Given the cost of sending it to the states under warranty, I would advise you to sell it, or rather not it, but the display.
In Ukraine, for example, a replacement screen on a Kindle 4 costs $100-120.
The Kindle 3 was popular enough that there were always unfortunates who sat on it and crushed the screen.

And by chance the device does not live in its native Kindol cover?

Just the same symptoms as I had. But it turned out to be a common problem. At the native cover, the metal holders that come with the Kindle shorten the contacts. It was normal for a year, then the paint on the metal was worn off and it began: a quick discharge, periodic freezing. Sometimes I could not restart it for several days. There is a video on YouTube on how to disassemble and treat, 5 minutes of work, but since you don’t have a cover, you probably need another doctor ...

I would try to remove the contacts from the places where the whiskers of the cover are attached. It definitely won't get worse. They are really made on the verge of a foul and can shorten. In the photo on the right. Unscrew 4 screws, remove the black cover, remove the contactor. Return back. On the other mount (next to the block with a white cover 0682) the design is slightly different, but the principle is the same.

It's a pity, I hoped to save your little animal. At the very same and with him everywhere. Well, maybe okay, take a new one with backlight!

As an assumption, the charge controller suddenly died, judging by the fact that it rebooted more and more often, and as a result it does not turn on

I have exactly the same situation, did you manage to cure it? I also took it apart, nothing helped ...
