Keras for its first neural network: how right is the choice?

I need to create a proof of concept based on a neural network. Experimenting with CNN and RNN. It seemed to me that Keras is a faster way to achieve results, given that I have zero experience in neural networks. Am I thinking right? Or is it still better to learn Theano / TensorFlow and not show off?

If there is enough Keras functionality, then why not? Some logic will be missing - you will solve the problem as it comes
