There are 2 servers located in different data centers.
It is necessary to make a cluster of 2 servers for high availability of the site.
Is Keepalived suitable for this solution? Or does it work if both servers are in the same data center?

No, keepalived will not work in different data centers. But there is an exception - if you make L2VPN or something like that.
Consider more advanced failover options (like BGP announcements, or shut down by an external proxy like Qrator/cloudflare). AND BE SURE TO CONSULT with the data center employees - they probably know their infrastructure well and can offer options (for example, an IP address floating between data centers if the data centers belong to the same owner)
