Kali Linux not logging in as root?

I have a poppy and I decided to install KALI on the VM (I use parallels) BUT after installation, an inexplicable thing happens,
it doesn’t log in
During installation, a password is created for the root user and it does not work

In general, I got here with the same question, I didn’t find an answer, but who needs it, I tried it differently, entered root instead of the login and entered the password that I drove in when installing the system. Maybe someone will come in handy.
For example, we write the login:
root
we write the password that was set during installation, for example:
Z2#599FF0

And the password is the same that you created during installation
