Kali Linux as linux for beginners?
Good afternoon!
I decided to do self-study, namely, Windows administration and Linux administration.
I decided to order books, but faced with the fact that those books that are recommended for study cannot be bought. (meaning a paper book, not an electronic one).
And I came across the book Kali Linux from developers Raphael Herzog. I skimmed through the table of contents, and saw that it basically tells the basics of linux, and I thought, is it worth it to start diving into linux with Kali Linux and with this book?
I ask you to give reasons for negative answers, and, if possible, to offer an alternative to the book in paper form.
Thanks in advance!
I will add, I work in technical support, so Kali Linux can be considered as a tool in the future

CentOS/RHEL has already been recommended above. And I recommend the book "Unix and Linux: a system administrator's guide" by Evi Nemeth, well, a classic - Tanenbaum
should I start diving into linux with
As already mentioned, Kali is a specialized distribution for networking - analysis, traffic sniffing, intrusion detection, etc. The distribution kit is completely sharpened for these tasks right out of the box. I sincerely do not understand why every second Linux newbie is drawn to Kali. Are you also learning to drive on a bulldozer or excavator, instead of a regular civilian car? Install poppy Mint or Ubuntu for a start, you will figure out at least what it is - Linux, how it works and is configured.
it is not clear why you need Kali linux, if you want to go to the professional direction and work as an admin in a high-end segment, then learn the RHEL - CentOS branch, or ubuntu / debian. The enterprise needs them.
