Job search manager for a freelancer - does it happen?

Has anyone tried working with a sales manager for their services? I would like to find a person who will look for orders, write cover letters, etc. for a percentage of the order value. Does this happen at all?
There was a similar question, in which one of the team members was advised to become a salesman, but what is the best thing for a single person to do?

In the ru segment, this is called "Baryzhnichestvo". Quite a lot of people are doing this.
They take orders in the west for 1k$, and merge them into Russian exchanges for 500$ - the difference in your pocket.

You can probably find such a person, but the expediency is doubtful, because you know your capabilities better, what to respond to, what not to, what to say to the client, how to explain certain nuances to him. You still have to get involved in the process at some stage. However, he still has to pay. Therefore, I would not recommend. If you are a loner, it is better to spend time once a month or two looking for a good order.

Sometimes it's 50+ percent.
Freelancing is full of people who are just looking for orders and delegate cheaply.

Naturally, there are a dime a dozen of them, you can safely offer some freelancers such an offer: I find good offers, and you are%, I also recently saw an ad from a freelancer who would like to work according to such a scheme

Sales with experience and connections, who has already built up a client base for himself, will demand a percentage and a high hourly rate + he will not be interested in every team or freelancer.
Sales outside the exchanges are connections and reputation, they are hard to earn and no one will waste time just like that.
If you work on stock exchanges and you need to optimize the time, then it is easier to take a student and train him.

Here the question is rather: who is more important, the egg or the chicken?
A competent salesperson with experience and a customer base most likely needs not one programmer, but several, for each task. Since each client and project is very individual. On the other hand, if you write your own program and the sales completely depends on you, and the quality of such software is sufficient for % of it to be of interest to the SE, then this is an option for long-term cooperation.

I tried to work in a similar way with one SEO specialist. He was looking for orders for all kinds of freelancing, communicating with the customer and obtaining technical specifications, and I actually developed. Those. in fact, he performed managerial functions + additionally sold his promotion services to the client.
There is one drawback in terms of such cooperation - the "manager" must understand the specifics and your qualifications well, otherwise he will throw you a bunch of inappropriate orders, for example, because he does not understand the difference between development for Bitrix and Joomla.
