JavaFX MediaPlayer takes a long time to react to rewinding a media file with a slider, are there alternatives?

When rewinding a media file at least to the middle or end, the player stops playing music for 2-3 seconds. Does this mean that it's just some kind of tight event listener in javaFX? Are there any good libraries for playing media in Java?

Take another look at your implementation, perhaps changing threads and the like will help you solve the problem. In any case, it's worth showing the code if it's not secret :)
