Java programming for kids, parents, grandparents, what's outdated in this book?

I decided to read the book, but I'm afraid some of the information in this book is outdated, maybe one of you has read it?
Here's what I found about the book

The book is good but outdated. Modern versions of Java throw an error when trying to compare Char and String types, creating arrays of buttons in Swing, as described in the book.

Can you add something of your own? I will be grateful!

Why do you want to read a book on programming?
It needs to be done. And if you just read it, then read it, and don’t worry, a week after reading it, you still won’t remember these nuances.

Hello!
If you need a book in a primitive and accessible language, then read - Head First Java (although a lot of water, but for beginners, that's it)
And so, here's another list - https://javarush.ru/groups/posts/511-top- 7-knig-po...
If you want less water, then G. Schildt - Beginner's Guide
Also video tutorials - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uXMTq81jG7Y&list=P...
Also online tutorials - https ://stepik.org/course/187 or on udemy.com
