Java freelance?

Good afternoon!
From Monday I start a new project in which I will eventually work remotely.
I am a fairly experienced JavaEE developer and I wanted to ask if there is enough javaEE work on freelance exchanges or not?
It's just that of course I see projects - but it's not entirely clear whether they are normal or not.
Does anyone have experience with this and can shed some light on me?
