Java EE is dead, does it make sense to do projects on it?

Is it worth it now to develop web projects using Java EE ( as far as I understand it was allowed to float freely on github )?
How dependent is Spring on Java EE?

Quite worth it if the soul does not lie with Spring or corporate ethics does not allow
Such a "free" swimming . IMHO, an output from under a wing of Oracle only in plus will go.
Spring Web depends on the Servlet API, can use JSPs as mappings, and is also integrated with JSF. Spring Data JPA, as the name suggests, is based on JPA. It is possible to use JMS. Etc. in general, i.e. Spring is very closely related to Java EE

I've been listening to this heresy for 17 years!
By the way, Spring is also on github .
